Hi Tony,  ;)

I believe that L & Co is Liberty & Co. or Ledsam and Vale.

I did think that originally but I took it up to the Antiques Roadshow and they couldn't recognise the mark so I don't think it's Liberty.

Ledsam and Vale is a possibility though. However, see here> Ledsam and Vale (http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:-0WC6PdIaTsJ:fineart.ha.com/common/view_item.php%3FSale_No%3D637%26Lot_No%3D33595%26src%3Dpr+%22ledsam+%26+vale%22&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=3&gl=uk). This one has a dot under the "o" where as mine has a line under the "o". Maybe they changed the mark for silver plate?

Hi Tony,  ;)

I believe that L & Co is Liberty & Co. or Ledsam and Vale.

Thanks, I still have this tazza or bowl, and just found this mark described as Liberty & Co here...

I bought it hoping it was Liberty and the shape certainly looked the part, it looks like something they would make. :)
