Plate marked Celladon, Devon Point

This happens to me all the time, I'm cleaning up my mess and before I pack it away I start investigating it.  This has a great mark on the back but I couldn't find anything about it on line.  Celladon, Devon Point, 11 3/4" long, mint green background color with pettipoint decoration.  Asking the experts!!  Thanks.

Hmmm curious spelling there Janice. Celadon is a type of green glaze originating in China: http://www.thailex.info/THAILEX/THAILEXENG/lexicon/c.htm#celadon, but yours says Celladon, so I'm thinking that means the base colour green. The Devon Point will be the needlework pattern I'm thinking. Warranted makes me think it's not an English-made piece as they would normally use Guaranteed instead. I think I'd be looking at an American maker for this one rather than anywhere else but who I've no idea.

The 22 K gold would indicate Continental Europe to me. Here gilding is usually not given a carat rating and is usually much more yellow. It looks like the Czech china with the almost coppery gilding that we find over here and is often only marked foreign and sometimes Czechoslovakia.

It's really strange because nothing comes up with any searches, I even checked replacements.com.

Hi, i'm not sure how many Staffordshire companies make this style of pattern but i do know that one of the manufacturers is Hollinshead & Kirkham.

Except transfers were often freely available to whoever wanted to buy them. I still don't think its English

This is a very bright gold color and not copper toned, I've seen that so I know what you mean.

I sent an email to Robbins Nest asking for help, she wrote the book The Collector's Encyclopedia of American Dinnerware.  I have the book and there is nothing about this mark.  The mystery continues...

I have a book on Harker Pottery and it's not listed.  I've sold quite a few pieces of the petit point patterns but this is the only one I've seen like this.

Hmmm I still think not English you know, those pieces of Rose's were where I'd seen the 22k Mark before - as hers says Empire Ware it was possibly made in Canada, and I suppose yours could also originate there Janice?

Ermm it could be English. Today I found a pin dish with this backstamp - standard dog transfer on the front (I only looked because it was a Springer)
