Hello all,
My name is Kathryn.  I am new to Eric Leaper--oh and IN LOVE! , I am new to pottery in general really, but am finding this one of the best spots to learn from.  I guess my question is about Eric's/Leaper-Newlyn pottery--should I expect to pay a lot? animals, platters, a  coffee mug in particular   --I am ready to pay a lot, in my  mind, but don't have any idea if that is wise--although if I possess a Leaper it has found it's home.  Don't really know what is considered a lot either.  ...and would have to get her home--United States --so shipping is a factor.

I know this site is for sharing and knowledge and not selling, but just wondering--does everyone love a Leaper?!
--off to see some photos and investigate the site.

thanks,

Kathryn

Welcome Kathryn, your enthusiasm is infectious and I'm delighted you're enjoying the board.  I personally know very little about Leaper or values but others will no doubt chime in with their advice. The bottom line is, I guess, a thing is worth what you are prepared to pay for it. Some items seem to go cheaper whilst the price of others sky-rockets if a couple or more collectors are after it. :)
Cheers!

Hi there and Welcome to the Board  :cheerleader: :cheerleader:

I do not have any myself, but it always good to learn and educate yourself on the identify of pieces -- as sometimes LUCK does fall into your lap when someone is selling something they do not know what they have.

I will look around here to see if I can find some American Finds for you on a Budget.....as for shipping, these days it nice to *find a date* (if not married) that works at a shipping place, so he can get you some deals on Shipping.

Thank you antique Rose and Anne for the welcome and tidbits of advice!

I am on the verge of purchasing or shall I say bidding on a Leaper or two....or three if  am bold enough.

and antique Rose I am stealing your quote
Every flower that has ever bloomed, had to go through a whole lot of DIRT FIRST......      I like that very much!
