Just acquired this lovely large wheel thrown stoneware bowl made by Ned Heywood. Not only marked with his name, but the date also i.e. 5 Sep. 1983. Doesn't that make life easier
According to info available (website and 'British Studio Potters' Marks' - Owen & Fournier), Heywood opened his workshop and gallery in Chepstow on the Welsh border in 1983, so this piece dates back to that period. I'll add his mark to the pottery mark link.
