Wedgwood Silver Ermine Dinner Service
« on: September 22, 2007, 11:27:51 AM »
Hi all,

Wondered if I could get some advice from you guys. My Mum has asked me to sell her 'Silver Ermine' Wedgwood Dinner service (for eight people). She bought it new in the 70's and I count 78 pieces of china, if you include a lid and a gravy boat saucer as being individual pieces.

Not much on the net about this Dinner Service. Are Dinner Services from this time particularly desirable or valuable?

I'm not even sure what this set contains! There are eight of everything, including two sets of saucers which only differ slightly in size. One Gravy boat, One Vegetable(?) dish, and two large serving plates.

Thank you for the replies  :)

It is up for sale now on an online auction, but if it doesn't sell, I think I will split, as suggested.

That replacements website does have some pieces from the same range. I've been quite surprised at how much some of these bits, individually, are priced!

Hi & Welcome to the isane ayslum oh the pottery board i mean  >:D

also take a look at www.replacements.com they are always looking for complete sets, also you can gauge an idea what a resell value is...

Don't expect them to offer more than 10% of their resale price though.

And the prices they show are top resale prices, you are unlikely to get these prices when you sell yourself.
