« on: September 21, 2008, 02:54:40 PM »
Hi Everyone!!

I have had this piece in my possession for quite a few years. It was my Grandmothers and she had it om Display in her home for as long as I can remember. I do not know a Thing about it! I know it is beautiful and I cherish it... It has no visible Marks, Signatures, or Insignias. Any Help  :hlp: would be Highly Appreciated.  :tks:

Thank You For Your Time!!

Hello Rose, :rse:

Thank you for your reply! I am not sure what "Spaghetti" art is so I don't know if that is what it is... Do you know where I can find more information on that particular art?

Thank You! :sign_gj:

These guys/gals know lots more than me here....I just remember seeing something called that a long time ago...but will look around.

Here is a quick little example....

Please click here

And Here - A book about it

You might to see if your local library has (or can get) this book for you.

I am not sure if I am even on the right wave lenght here, but the hair on your vase reminds me of it.  After all, Art influences Art.  I think.. ;)

HI Rose,  :rse:

Thank you for your helpful info, and your right it does resemble Spaghetti Art. I also found an Artist named ELAINE OLIVER.... Anyone Familiar with her?? This is a sample of her work...

http://www.enoliver-pottery.com/images/IM000264.JPG

I could not find much info on her.  :hb: Her work looks very similar to the vase that I have.
To me it looks like a Sculpture of the Triple Goddess Aspect... Maiden, Mother, Crone. Or it could represent Child, Mother, Grandmother. Who Knows?
Thank you for all your help in this matter, It is much appreciated!  :gcheer:
