Hello , and Welcome Delphis...  :cheerleader:

My, what a large pot that is.  Beautiful.  I wonder if that is an B, and an E.  I wonder if Lustrousstone would know....or TC as they know marks better than me -- but VERY beautiful.

What is the size of it?  Can you tell us please....

It is about 15cm tall and nearly as wide.

Would love to know more about it. I'm always on the look out for Poole but other pots often catch my eye as this one did.

I have looked in all of my books and cant find it, it could be a local potter to your region, and have you considered that the initials may be EM or EW ?

I sure do wish that when they made pottery, they made initials easier to read....<  sign >

Try a light dusting of some ashes over it to help it show up better...and does your camera have close-up.  These guys here helped me find my close-up on my camera.....silly me, I never knew where it was...

Thanks all for the tips. Yes a local potter is very likely, though not one I could find! When I got the vase there were various other small pieces with the same mark, so I got them too. Not in the same design as the vase, but still quite sweet.
