My guess is yes, David. Coniston Water in the Lake District is a long narrow lake: Satellite View on Google Maps, so that ties in.

There's also  Poole Lake near Poole, apparently. Google gives results for it - I can't get it to show up named on Google Maps, but someone who lives there may know what it refers to. I did find there's a closely similar shaped lake in Poole which may be the place though: Satellite View on Google Maps. Perhaps ask if anyone knows Poole Lake on the GMB Cafe as well as there are folks on GMB who live down that way?

If we can find more examples of lakes by Royal Norfolk that could help.
Cheers!

I think it refers to Poole Harbour. Admittedly a very abstract, stylised image, but with squinted eyes it could resemble it.

I have a few relatives who live in Poole, so I could ask
