Schuco car
« on: February 08, 2009, 10:55:49 AM »
I thought you might like to see this, it was given to me as a birthday present.

Unfortunately the key is missing so i'm not sure if it works or not.

Ohhhh that's neat TC. What scale will it be?

I wonder if it's possible to find a key replacement?

Wikipedia says that Schuco went bankrupt:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schuco but after some ownership changes is now back as its own company:
http://www.schuco.de/uk/models.htm
and there are also some places selling the older ones like yours:
http://www.classicjack.com/index.html?target=p_745.html&lang=en-us - they may be able to help with a key, TC. ;)
Cheers!

It's about five and a half inched long. It has a rear bumper which pulls out, i think this is the reverse switch. It also has a start/stop switch in one of the front windows, and a steering lever on the front bumper.

This one I like...

Awww the mouse waves his arms around in that one. I've never heard of Schuco before but they are fascinating. I'll keep my eyes open when I'm out and about for those TC.
Cheers!
