I have this 50s/60s money box complete with stopper. The stopper is marked RM Moss Ltd 1095, but I have the feeling from rooting about that that's just the stopper, not the money box. has anyone any idea who might have made the box please?

Spot on about Moss being the stopper maker. Looking at the clay colour, I'd hazard a guess that the pony could be by Ellgreave.

Thanks for that. It's quite lightweight clay.

I wonder if it's the same maker as the pink or grey elephants that were around in the 1980s as well? My son has a pink one from his birth year (1986) - also with red stopper but I'm not sure if there's anything on it. I'll check it tomorrow. How tall is the pony Christine?

He's 8 in (20 cm). I also saw a lion today in treacle brown glaze, looked to be by the same maker. Didn't buy him though as he had a small chip and ! don't need any more stuff.
