A retro polka dot bachelor set by Gray's Pottery. I'm thinking about taking it on holiday with me, very posh, unlike me.  :24:

Oooh, that I like! :beer: :coffee:  Have you had a look on the Grays Pottery website?  Its fab.  www.grayspottery.co.uk   You should be able to find the pattern number and name there.
They are always happy to receive images for their website.  Paul Niblett is the man to contact :kissy:.  He helped me with info on a comport that I have, and it will be included in the June update :x-fingers:.

I haven't seen that sight before, thanks. FAB it is.

Unfortunately my set doesn't have a pattern name or number, but i've found out that the backstamp dates to 1933-45.

Picked up this neat Gray's pottery serving plate with  'the second galleon' mark, along with those two art-deco mirrors I posted into show and tell. Backstamp is, according to the Gray's Pottery website, from 1928-31. http://www.grayspottery.co.uk/backstamps.htm

Pattern is called Hampton, dates from around 1930, and the designer probably was Dorothy Tomes:

It's incredible huh? Apparently Dorothy Tomes started at Gray's about the time Susie Cooper left. I just couldn't resist it when I found it at the yard sale in Grange. Two mirrors and this plate and change from ?30... amazing! :)
