Tulips Avant Garde Plaque Possibly Dutch or German?
« on: February 23, 2014, 04:50:11 PM »
Hello Pottery Fans!
Can you help me identify this modern plaque with the tulip design. It has an impressed makers stamp of a crown over a letter D. Also the designer must be Emma someone.
Thank you for your help,
Best Wishes
Vickie (Wiggy131) ;D

I don't think you can get blue tulips , can you?

Is the decoration on top of the glaze or underneath? Could be a blank painted by a local person if over the glaze.

I wonder if the flowers might be lily of the valley, rather than tulips? The wee points at the ends of the petals make me wonder...
Cheers!

Hello, the design is just a transfer onto the plaque. It isn't Lily of the valley as that is more like a snowdrop with multi branches. The puzzle continues...
