1000 cranes bud vase?

I bought this very cheaply. Just wondering if it's a 1000 cranes pattern, perhaps not enough cranes? Looks quite old and has seen better days. Not chipped or cracked, just the gilding has worn away. I guess it's been picked up a lot.

Its lovely and looks hand painted.  Is it porcelain?  Its got that blueish tinge on the base around the edge.

It's hand painted porcelain and Japanese judging from the style.
