Raintree lamp
« on: January 01, 2008, 07:00:44 AM »
Hi just thought I would post here (???) my old Rain tree lamp.....anyone remember these.  I have mine hanging, and it still works.  It is almost 3 meters in lenght....from tip to tip....it is quite large.

I also found on on YouTube, same idea, but different style/design... http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=q8WwEAl-dxc

It is made of plastic, and of metal......I love  mine...even today..

Here are a couple of sites:

http://www.simnia.com/rain_lamps/
http://www.simnia.com/rain_lamps/manufacturers/models.htm  (shows one similar to mine on this page)

PS....the little kid in the pix by the lamp.......Well, that was a pic of my son when he was a baby.......wearing a envelope on his head........a regular, what you mail letters in.......envelope on his head.......lol     :24:    Kids will be Kids

I meant almost 3 feet....not 3 metres...dam metric....must have been the *Baileys* that night  :bzy:  :24:  that was Jan.01, 2008 - I posted that... :bzy: :24:

I did receive a response from a guy named MARK ATKIN that said the following to me about this lamp, quote:

" Nice lamp, thanks for the photo. It does look like a higher quality model, with the double row of lines and more ornate base than usual. Sorry for the delay, but I'm just getting caught up on Christmas vacation backlog, including e-mail.
Normally I'd offer to put your photo online but I don't have time to maintain my rain lamp webpages anymore, unfortunately."

So I found this out...I had sent this before Xmas....see how *behind*  ( :mny: ) I am......lol
