Hi Keith.  According to this website http://www.pottery-english.com/Articles/Pottery_Marks/Pottery_Marks_and_Backstamps/ Made in England usually denotes after 1914, whereas just England generally used after 1891, so probably somewhere from the period to 1891 to 1914.
