The Burghley Porcelains Crane in flight Arita Ware
« on: April 30, 2010, 12:26:04 AM »
I have an Arita ware dish but it's not an antique one. This reproduction is a limited edition specially commissioned for the 70th anniversary (1987) of American Express in Japan.

I've never seen another one the same, or anything like it.

I think a friend suggested it might be mail order only from Japan.

'The Burghley Porcelains,'' a traveling exhibition on view at Japan House Gallery through July 27.

So it's some kind of exhibition, interesting.
