Hi all
This is what i found last week waking my dog next to my local river. At a bend in the river the banking is collapsing due to erosion. I have been in touch with my local museum and will be passing it on to them.  Ho and yes there is a roman fort neer by.

Is that near Watercrook, Robert? It'd be interesting to know what the museum says about it. Keep us posted. :)

Cool! Have you got a metal detector too? Might be worth a try, some MD's even go in the water.

Hi Tigerchips yes i have been metal detecting for 30 years .But not aloud on the site it`s a scheduled monument.

Well Anne and Tigerchips just to let you know i gave the the piece of roman pot to Dot from the p.a.s . She will use it has a visual aid in schools. (Dots from the museum )
