Help with this pottery back mark please ~ Lear??

Hi Guys,
Can anyone help with an ID for this pottery mark please ~ it's on an Art Nouveau / Arts & Crafts style vase and trying to find the maker is  driving me potty  ???

Might be Samuel Lear art pottery,incised mark 'Lear' but can't find any images similar to yours,nice vase,

Samuel Lear is the only thing I can come up with too, but the different mark has me puzzled!

Is there a Y. Lear or a V. lear???  As that notch on the top looks like a *Y* or a *V* to me -- just as a suggestion??

Thank you! I wondered about that too, but haven't been able to find a V or Y Lear pottery anywhere. Ah well....
