And any ideas about this wonderful bulldog figure?
« on: December 04, 2007, 05:18:10 PM »
It's me again! :jstr:
Any ideas about this gorgeous bulldog figure? The picture of the backmark and impressed numbers isn't very clear ~ sorry ~ and I didn't write down any details so I can't add anything to them!
Thanks in anticipation, John.

I love the way he's sitting on one hip, just like a real dog and not a show dog

Hey Hog-man...when I clicked on your photo to look at the label, i noted that there was a incised word on the edge...can you see it....what does that say *dow_ _ or something* or just the word *dog* there....I can't make it you.  can u see it better?

Here is a book I think I will ask  :sta4: for.....too bad they only have part posted there, but I think I need that book badly...

Hi Rose, and thanks for the link  ~ I'll have a word with  :sta1: too!
We think (my other half saw it at an auction preview) the incised marks are actually numbers, something like 1064 ~ can see how it looks like DOGS though!
Will let you know more if she buys it today.
